I see on greek forums that they fit it on the head bolt from the cylinderhead..(like the honda grom) So i did it on the same way..
Is there a other way or do i need a stronger oil pump?
Maybe by a original motor it is.. But mine has some upgrades, and when i drive fast it get a litle bit too hot i think..
There wil be a thermostatic between the cooler, so that he dont run cold when i am driving slow.. So no guessworkDonS hat geschrieben: ↑Di 6. Nov 2018, 06:05I‘m a little bit puzzled, to say the least.
You’re seriously intending, or even worse - allready started (!) to install an oil cooler to the engine WITHOUT even knowing how hot - or not hot it runs? You havn’t checked this in advance. All guesswork?
Are you trying to fool us up here?
DonS hat geschrieben: ↑Mo 5. Nov 2018, 22:50You say the oil is running out of the tube/pipe very slow. Don’t forget the normal oil pressure in the Honda Innova engine is very low.
In fact there is a circulation rather than a pressure.
I’d try the oil cooler mounted like recommended and watch if the temperature comes down under forced driving conditions.
Maybe it’s doing the job anyway.
Edit: when i wrote this post i hadn‘t noticed the upper comment. I‘d definitely not mount an oil cooler without even knowing the facts!
I wil see what tempature he gets when i am have te oil temp sensor, but i think it wil be too hot when driving fast. Brother got a original innova and when we drive together i can feel that mine got a bit warmer then his innova.. You can hold the hand easy on his engine but wil burn your hands on mine..DonS hat geschrieben: ↑Di 6. Nov 2018, 08:11The point is that the Innova tends to run rather cold.
I‘m pretty sure oil temperature seldom to never reach the recommended 80-100 degrees with the standard engine.
Good chance that your engine is working at optimum temprature right now!
Mounting an oil cooler might be contraproductive. Not more than a useless gimmik.
Without checking the oil temperature propperly in advance it‘s all mumbo jumbo.
It‘s a little bit like asking the doctor for medicine but refusing to tell him what hurts.
Dont now a lot about oils.. Would be the castrol power rs not that good? Wich is today a good oil for this engine?IGN hat geschrieben: ↑Di 6. Nov 2018, 11:11Ölthermometer.jpg
This cheap Oil temp Sensor from aliexpress.com (about 3 Euro) gives you and us a hint too...
Seek for 110cc 125cc Temperatur Gauge.
Castrol Power Flakes where till 2014 really good Paso 4 Oils, if not the best.
Since 2015 till today there are only Paso 3, good Hydrocracks, not more...
(Cost of Deepwater Horizon, who knows ?)
Not the best in a heavy tuned Air-cooled Engine with only 800ml of Oil.
